I have spent more than twenty years working as a primary school teacher, and throughout that time I’ve been driven by a deep commitment to helping children feel understood, supported, and capable. Early in my career, I developed a particular interest in literacy difficulties, which led me to complete a Level 7 SpLD qualification at Oxford Brookes University in 2018. Since then, I’ve specialised in supporting children with dyslexia and related learning differences at The Dragon School in Oxford. In 2021, I completed my AMDA and gained my APC, enabling me to assess and diagnose dyslexia.
Empathy sits at the heart of everything I do. I’m passionate about uncovering the many strengths each child possesses and helping them understand how personalised, targeted support can make a meaningful difference to their everyday life.
Outside of work, I’m a parent of two children and two miniature dachshunds. I enjoy running and have a keen interest in food.
