About Maria

Dr. Maria Medin Doce is a Consultant Community Paediatrician.

Maria has a specialist interest in understanding the neurodevelopmental needs of a child or young person through the use of holistic and comprehensive assessments. She is passionate about supporting the individual and those around them to best align to those unique strengths and challenges and aid the journey to fulfilling their own magnificent potential.

Maria has a longstanding interest in Autism Spectrum Disorder and ADHD and builds upon the skills and experience gained working in the NHS for over 16 years, including specialist Community Child Health training, and working as a Community Paediatric Consultant at Oxford University NHS Foundation Trust. She leads Oxfordshire’s multidisciplinary Autism assessment pathway service for children under 5 years and has regular neurodevelopmental and neurodisability children’s clinics for children under 18. She is the specialist doctor for Springfield Special Educational Needs Senior School and has comprehensive experience of close multi-agency working including education and other children’s services.

Maria is a mother to 2 busy boys who by far her best teachers and give her an appreciation of just how much fun and enriching all-weather outdoor activities can be.

  • Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Science, Imperial College London, 2007

  • MRCPCH, Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, 2012
