We are pleased to support students studying Psychology and related disciplines and welcome student placements within our clinic. Our placements operate within a professional and ethical environment where students observe multidisciplinary working and therapeutic approaches.
Students receive meaningful learning opportunities through observation of clinical practice. With appropriate consent, they may accompany clinical team members during assessments and appointments, gaining a front-row seat to how multidisciplinary neurodevelopmental care works in practice.
We are currently proud to host the following students at our clinic:
MSc Psychology student, University of Reading. Pursuing a future Doctorate in Clinical Psychology. Isabella brings four years of residential care experience (previously as Deputy Manager) and two years as a SEND Specialist Nanny. She is currently undertaking concurrent research at Royal Berkshire Hospital on the effects of haemodialysis on young renal patients, and is a BPS Graduate Student Member.
Second-year BSc (Hons) Psychology student, Nottingham Trent University. Daisy is completing her required 60 hours of work experience during the academic year through our clinic, observing the full range of our multidisciplinary services.
If you are a Psychology student (or student in a related discipline) looking for an observational clinical placement, please get in touch. We accept a small number of students each year and prioritise placements that fit well with our team's capacity and your learning goals.
Please email your CV, a brief description of your course and placement requirements, and the dates you are available, to imogen@drcassie.co.uk.
